Payment

Payment is required when placing any order. There are several acceptable methods of payment including Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Personal Check, and Money orders. Please be aware that all checks must clear the bank for shipments to be processed. All items on the site are available, although the quantities may be limited.

Substitutes, Refunds, and Credits

It sometimes becomes necessary to credit, refund, or substitute an items due to many possible things that could happen before a plant ships. If it becomes the only option it will be our policy to notify you via email and issue a credit until a response is received. It is always a good practice to list other substitutes that are exceptable to you if that item becomes unavailable due to reasons beyond our control. If a refund is desired instead of substitutes or a credit it must be in writing  and mailed to: Midwest Aquatics and Exotics 10500 Blacksmith Place Florence, Kentucky 41042 ATTN: Accounting Dept.


Packing  and Shipping

All of our stock is grown in containers including 4" pots, 1 gallon, and 3 gallon containers. Most of our stock is shipped bareroot and shipped either next day or 2-3 day service. For best results all plants must be gently opened and potted up immediately upon arrival. If there is a problem with your order it is your responsibility to notify us within 24 hours of receipt of your package. There is a minimum shipping fee of  $6.00 per order for shipments East of the Mississippi and $8.00 for West of the Mississippi . It is our policy to keep shipping costs to a minimum, we do not try to make money on shipping costs. We make money by providing our customers quality plants. We will pack as many plants per container as can be done without risking damage to the stock. It will be our policy to use the best means that allow for the quickest route while being cost effecient unless you state other shipping preferences in advance. We currently use USPS, UPS, Fedex Home Delivery, DHL, and Airfreight via Delta Airlines, and Northwest Airlines.

Our Guarantee

It is our  intention to provide you with only the highest quality plants, but once it ships from our facility we cannot tell if there is anything is wrong with the plant. It is your responsibility to notify us withing 24 hours of receipt of the package, which you are expected to open and inspect right away. Sometimes problems don't show up right away, because of this it is our policy that we will replace, or refund any plant that fails to survive due to genetically related problems or pests and disease that was undetected before shipping the plant if they fail withing 5 days of receipt of your shipment. We guarantee our plants to be healthy, free of pests and disease. Each plant is inspected before being sent to packing so that you receive only the best plants. We do not ship damaged plants, and cannot be responsible for plants that are damaged during transit. It is our suggestion that you either purchase insurance when placing your order to cover possible damages or file a claim against the carrier and collect from them for damages they have caused. Our plants are not gauranteed against animals that eat your plants, or your lack of care for the plant. We guarantee the quality of the plant only.

Domestic Shipment Restrictions

Please be aware that some states, counties, cities, or other agencies restrict the shipment of  some plants. With this in mind please do not order a plant that is restricted from being shipped to your area. If you are unsure please check with the USDA,  your city hall, or just ask us before ordering.
